Bradley’s Body Academic Site

A site that can be created to have more a dynamic and different website for our company is one that’s not only informative but interesting to follow as long as well. Considering the fact that we already have a very formal site on Bradley’s website, the new website can be more interactive. We can create different diets to stay healthy and promote them on the page. We can also include a way to track weight gain and loss for those who may need a little push while dieting. In my opinion, with the University’s site being so professional, the information is already presented in this manner. With all of its weight control feature and fun facts, I believe the site will create a totally different approach with its information.  The second site will give our clients a chance to interact with its audience and see data that lets them know if they are having an impact on them or not. We can also include a link to the original Bradley’s website to offer both forms of information. Should include more interactive media and visuals.

The PESO Model will be very beneficial to our client because it will allow us to look through our client’s effort through four different lenses. We can apply the PESO model by using influencer’s relationship for earned media, promoting ourselves better on social media sites for shared media, using customer stories for our owned media, and sponsored Facebook post/Twitter tweets for our paid media. The earned media and shared media approach will help gain attention to our site. While the owned media and paid media will help us to build trust with our audience and provide credibility. All example have to be used very strategically and promotional ways.

Aldi’s Campaign

The Aldi’s campaign was said to be designed to help those who are struggling to save their money. There was even a hashtag created and entitled, “#PoorestDayChallenge to refer to it. This entire idea was unethical because of the reference being made to people who may live in poverty. You have to be very cautious of the language you’re using when making statements to the public. I would improve this by simply obmitting the hashtage. I would not compare saving money to poverty. The campaign could be entitled, “#SavingAtAldi or #TeachingYouHowToSave” anything that’s along those lines and away from anything offensive would be great. The best way for me to guarentee that I’m being ethical is to imagine myself being apart of the public and reading what I said. Putting yourself in another person’s shoes will always help you understand where another person is coming from. According to the PESO model, shared media would be the hashtag that was created and used on the Instagram post. It was an example of paid media because they gave an influencer money to carry out the challenge.Earned media is the impact that the influencer had on the campaign. Lastly, the owned media aspect of this campaign is the inforgraphs and testimonies.

#RIPeanut

The RIPeanut campaign was initially created to honor a pop-culture icon and bring unity amongst the audience for that reason. However, as the world changes their views and beliefs may change as well. With the death of future Hall of Famer, Kobe Bryant and his daughter, “GiGi” circling every social media platform and touching so many hearts, it’s a very touchy subject to execute. As a Planter’s PR professional I would not continue to run the campaign and would respond to all the negative comments with a sincere apology, a reminder of what the campaign was initially created for, and give reassurance that it will not be ran due to the tragedy of the Bryant’s family. That way I would have identified the problem, determined the cause of the problem, and finally solved it.

Considering the fact that Planter is such a well known figure, his potential audience could literally be anyone but, if its geared towards Kobe Bryant than it would definitely be basketball fans and more specifically the Lakers’ fans on that important night. With so much emotional response to Bryant’s death even shown on social media, I do not feel like this would benefit the relationship between Planters and their intended audience. A lot of people will be very sensitive to the topic. With my background information in Public Relations, I know it is very important to be cautious when dealing with certain topics and I don’t believe that they should risk their reputation by doing this.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
